Tomax for Moodle
Tomax is an exam management platform that connects natively to Moodle and supports LTI 1.3 with all LTI Advantage services. Students start from Moodlewith single sign-on, authoring, secure delivery, integrity checks, and marking run in Tomax, and grades and annotated scripts are pushed back to the Moodle gradebook. Moodle stays your system of record for courses and enrollment.

- Single sign-on (SAML, OAuth 2.0)
- Students launch the exam from the LMS (LTI 1.3)
- Grades written back to the gradebook

In Practice
Moodle at Reichman University, Faculty of Medicine
Reichman University's medical school ran its exam workflows, including a custom appeals process, inside Moodle and did not want to migrate. Tomax's LMS integrity plugin was deployed to bring secure lockdown and proctoring into Moodle without a full system migration.
A secure overlay inside Moodle
Exams were presented in a secure overlay within Moodle instead of redirecting students to a new system.
Lockdown and proctoring
Exams were locked down against unauthorised materials and applications, with continuous screen recording and real-time webcam monitoring.
Live oversight for staff
Administrators and lecturers got live monitoring dashboards to pause exams, issue warnings, or flag suspicious behaviour.
Existing processes kept
The custom exam appeals process was preserved, and faculty carried on using Moodle without learning a new system.
